This flavorful creamy pasta with feta cheese, goat cheese, and tomatoes comes together quickly and easily. I adore the texture and tanginess of feta cheese, which melts nicely and adds a delicate, creamy texture to the pasta.
Story Behind This Creamy Pasta
This version of feta pasta was originally shared by Tiiu Piret on her blog in 2018, then went viral a year later when Jenni Hayrinen shared her simplified version of “uunifetapasta” on Tiktok
Taking this concept and modifying it slightly, I created my version. Instead of baking it, I cooked it on the stovetop with fresh spinach and added additional seasoning and herbs. I also like medium-bite-size pasta here.
This dish is a must-try if you enjoy pasta. My husband, who is not a big fan of pasta, loves this recipe. It’s so easy to put together and perfect for busy weeknights. By the time the pasta boils, the sauce is ready.
Ingredients And Substitutes
- Tomatoes: Use cherry or grape tomatoes for this recipe.
- Feta Cheese: Use a block of feta cheese for the best results. This is because the block is less processed and will have a more melty consistency when baked
- Goat Cheese: Use parmesan cheese instead of goat cheese, or simply use feta and adjust the quantity.
- Pasta: You can use any pasta you’d like or even make this with gluten-free pasta.
- Garlic: To enhance the flavor, use fresh garlic cloves. Garlic powder can be replaced with fresh garlic.
- Add a protein: chicken, ground beef, and shrimp would make excellent final additions.
What To Serve With Pasta
This pasta is ideal for quick weeknight meals. It is also a great dish to serve at any holiday, spring, or summer event, such as barbecues, picnics, or birthday parties. Here are a few of my favorite dish pairings:
- Classic Chicken Salad Sandwiches
- Summertime Watermelon Punch Recipe
- Chicken & Vegetable Spring Rolls
- Butter Herb Chicken
- Hunter Beef
