This Cranberry Sauce or Chutney has a combination of dried dates and raisins with a kick of warm spices. The perfect complement to your festive meal
A must on a festive holiday table is a finger-licking sauce, a sauce that will go with anything from Chicken, Turkey, Beef, Rice dishes, and many more. Cranberry Sauce is my definition of that. It is traditionally eaten with a Thanksgiving meal but can be easily added to any Pakistani or Indian food as a chutney or Murabas.
Thanksgiving is the time of year to be grateful! Thanksgiving was originally started to celebrate a new harvest. With the new harvest, different cultures introduced new cuisines to each other. I love celebrating the holiday like them, with an array of multicultural food and American food with a desi twist!
I hosted a Thanksgiving dinner a few years ago. The mixed cuisine array gave me the idea to make cranberry sauce with a desi twist. It was delicious and went well with the Indian and American dishes. The sauce was loved by everyone, and ever since then, I’ve known this is a keeper.
This homemade Cranberry Sauce recipe contains a few unexpected ingredients that not only make it a unique sauce but also perfectly complement your holiday meals.
Adding some spices, raisins, and dried dates immediately creates a warm, earthy flavor, making it the ultimate treat to enjoy all winter long. The best part is that it only takes 15 minutes from start to finish and is the perfect balance of sweet and tart.
How Far Ahead Can Cranberry Chutney Be Made?
