This homemade quick and easy 5-minute bagel breakfast sandwich is not only flavorful and packed with protein but also offers a healthy start to the day that will keep you feeling full and spirited without being heavy on your pocket.
The adage “Eat breakfast like a king” is accurate. Having a nourishing breakfast in the morning can set the tone for a productive day. It provides everything your body needs to stay fueled and full until lunch.
Ingredients You Need To Make Breakfast Bagel
- Bagel: Choose your favorite type. I do, however, enjoy using everything bagels.
- Eggs: In addition to scrambled eggs, you can make fried eggs or an omelet, depending on your preferences.
- Cheese: I usually use American cheese, but you can use whatever cheese you have on hand.
- Avocados If you like avocados, add them to your sandwich for a nice, fresh flavor.
- Tomato: Use sliced tomatoes if you like
- Leafy green: Add baby spinach or arugula to taste for extra crunch.
- Hot sauce: Hot sauce or siracha can be used for an extra kick
Variations You Can Do In BF Bagel
The good thing about this sandwich is that you can experiment with different ingredients. Here are a few of my favorites.
- In addition to eggs, add extra protein by adding bacon, salami, smoked salmon, or turkey slices, to take it to the next level.
- You can top your sandwich with fresh dill or basil instead of fresh greens. It adds a burst of flavor
- Hot sauce can be substituted with siracha or ketchup
- To add even more crunch, you could use onion rings instead of tomato slices.
- Any of your favorite cheeses can replace American cheese.
