What Essentials Do I Need To Make Sawaiyan?

This particular recipe needs only a few ingredients, which are usually available in the pantry.

Ingredients For Sawaiyan

Sawaiyan: is whole wheat vermicelli noodles.

Nuts: Feel free to add any type of nut you like; just chop them roughly; this not only brings out the flavor in each bite but also adds texture.

Condensed Milk: 1 can of condensed milk (this recipe specifically calls for condensed milk; heavy cream or milk cannot be substituted; otherwise, the texture and flavor will be lost).

Butter: One-half stick of butter is required, but ghee is a suitable substitute.

Cardamom Powder: Cardamom not only gives a great flavor to desi sweets but also adds aroma.

Ingredients

  • 1 Packet Sawaiyan

  • 4 tablespoon Unsalted Butter

  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk

  • 1.5 teaspoon Cardamom Powder

  • 1.5 Cup roughly chopped Almonds

  • 1.5 Cup roughly chopped Pistachios

  • 1.5 Cup roughly chopped Cashews

  • 1.5 Cup Coconut flaxes

Directions

  • Melt butter in a pan
  • On low heat, add Sawaiyan and cook until slightly golden brown.
  • Now combine the cardamom powder and all of the nuts.
  • Combine well until everything is mixed together.
  • Add condensed milk and close the stove.
  • Remove the pan from the heat and stir until all of the ingredients are combined.
  • Serve with the remaining nuts as garnish.

Notes

  • In this dish, sawaiyan will be kept crunchy.
  • Don’t overcook, after adding the nuts and condensed milk.
